I have my friend Anastasia to thank for introducing me to Sleek Makeup. She’s not the kind of girl to rave about anything, so when she couldn’t stop singing its praises, I knew it’d be a winner.
My first foray into the brand was the Sleek I-Divine Original Eyeshadow Palette. Makes sense to start with their first palette, don’t you think?

What’s In Sleek Makeup I-Divine Original Palette?
Sleek I-Divine Original Palette contains 12 mineral-based eyeshadows. It has both neutral and colourful (but still very wearable) shades, all of which have a shimmery finish.
Thank Mica for the finish. It’s a naturally occurring mineral that gives sparkle to products. The bigger the size of the mica, the shinier the eyeshadows are.
Texture
All the shades feel very soft to the touch, apply smoothly and are very easy to blend. Maybe it’s because they all have the same finish, but there honestly isn’t a dud in this palette.
Pigmentation
I’m completely blown away by how pigmented each shade in this palette is. One coat packs a serious colour punch! I still recommend you use an eyeshadow primer underneath, but even without, you’ll still get opaque coverage in just one swipe.
Staying Power
Again, that’s impressive. For starters, none of these shades creased on my oily lids. They easily stayed put all day without any nasty surprises.
Fragrance
It’s fragrance-free.
How To Use It
With your own brushes. Sleek Makeup has included a sponge-tip applicator in the palette, but I don’t find it to be very good. You can use the shades both with and without an eyeshadow primer (they’re THAT good)
Performance & Personal Opinion
I’m thoroughly impressed with Sleek Makeup I-Divine Original Eyeshadow Palette. Whether I use a primer or not, I only need a quick swipe to get each shade to show up and stay put on my oily lids.
You don’t need to be a pro to use this palette. The shades are so soft, they blend effortlessly!
The best part? You can create any type of look your crave with them. I use the soft pink and neutral brown shades for daily wear. You know, errands, office… They’re great for when you want to look polished and elegant, but without attracting too much attention.
I’ll add a pop of blue or green on days when I fancy some colour. Life’s boring without it, you know what I mean? At night, l’ll create a smokey eye with the darker shades.
If you travel a lot and need a palette that can cover all basics (well, almost – there are no mattes here), this is it.
Who Is This For?
- Teens on a budget
- Darker skin tones
- Anyone who wants a versatile palette with both neutral, colourful, and smokey shades
- Lovers of shimmery eyeshadows
Who Is This Not For?
- Anyone who likes sheer shades
- Anyone who isn’t into colourful shades
- Fans of matte eyeshadows (there’s not even one here!)
Packaging
I dig the packaging, too. I find the black case sleek, classy and… useful. Unlike most palettes, it also has a large mirror you can actually use when you apply your makeup.
The palette also comes with a double-sponge applicator, but I prefer to use my brushes. I’m not a fan of sponge-tip applicators – they tend to soak up too much colour.

yep, Celeste. When I went to London, some Supedrug stores didn’t have many left. I’ll be very happy when that happens too, can’t wait! 🙂
Love Sleek products. They have come an awful long way from what they used to be when I was a teenager. The eyeshadows and blushers are great value.
Chichi, I found out only recently that Sleek has been around for years and I was really surprised. I though they were a new brand lol. I love their products too, esp the eyeshadows. They are great value for money.
I also love Sleek and I already own 2 palettes and 1 liner of this wicked brand though I live in Germany. I’ve ordered them via shadesbeauty as some girls wrote about this site in a beautyforum. Otherwise I wouldn’t have chosen option 1. Has anyone made some experiences with Paul’s Hair World? Are they good? I’ve visited the site and found out that they have lots more items by Sleek. Anyways, great review! I totally support it. Best wishes from Germany
Mylanqolia, I’m glad you love Sleek too. They products are amazingly good and such great value for money! Unfortunately I haven’t bought anything from Paul’s Hair World yet, so I’m not sure what they service is like. But I know Sleek are about to launch an ecommerce site in a few weeks and they should post worldwide, so we’ll finally be able to get their stuff soon 🙂
Thanks for this review! I’m going out to Superdrug now to pick up the Storm palette-can’t wait to try it.
Emma, you’re welcome. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the Storm palette. I’m sure you’ll love it. Sleek palettes are little gems, and so pigmented!
I bought this palette and Sunset palette yesterday from Superdrug. My, they have increased their prices I think…it costs GBP5.99 now for all palettes available….the other 2 I saw were Storm and Acid.
Vonvon, I’m so glad you finally got these palettes! I know how much you love your palettes and these are awesome! I just can’t rave about them enough. Yeah, I noticed the price increase when I was in London last April. 🙁 Can’t say I’m pleased about that but at least they only increased it of about one pound so they are still pretty affordable and the quality hasn’t changed. Still, as great as usual so I think they are still worth the price.
