But it gets the job done without fuss. Case in point, Dove Intensive Nourishment Body Lotion. It’s a godsend for drier-than-the-Sahara skin. Here’s why:

What’s In Dove Intensive Nourishment Body Lotion?

CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE

Coconut oil is one of the most moisturising things on this planet. But it’s also greasy and comedogenic.

Enter Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride. It’s a derivative of coconut oil that retains all its moisturising properties without any of its side effects.

In other words, it keeps skin soft and smooth all day without the greasy factor and constant breakouts.

GLYCERIN

Glycerin is a moisture magnet. Literally.

Its job is to draw moisture from the air into the skin and keep it there. Your skin then uses all the extra moisture for all kinds of things:

Performance & Personal Opinion

Usually, I stick to thick, rich creams for my dry skin. I’m always afraid that lighter lotions like Dove Intensive Nourishment Body Lotion aren’t up to the job. This time I was wrong.

The loion instantly makes skin softer and smoother. Even better, the effects last the entire day – no need to reapply it.

As much as I dig it, I’m still going back to my HG body moisturizer, The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter.

The Body Butter has a much richer texture, which may put some people off, but it is more moisturizing than the Dove one and makes my skin softer. And it has a wonderful, yummy coconut scent!

The Dove Lotion is already moisturizing enough for dry skin though, so which of the two to choose depends on your personal preference and budget.
