Ladies beware! Your skin has a new enemy: inflammaging.
Actually, it’s an old enemy. It’s always existed. We’re just discovering it now (typical!).
But worry not. I’m not leaving you without a cure. Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir claims to help us fight this skincare threat (and more). Does it deliver?
What Is Inflammaging?
Inflammaging describes the aging process caused by inflammation. Inflammation produces free radicals and decreases the amount of elastin and collagen in your body, making skin sag and wrinkle.
By the way, I’m not talking about acute inflammation here (you know, when your skin is all red and swollen and itches like crazy). Sure, that can cause inflammaging, too. Together with unprotected sun exposure, a sugar-rich diet, pollution, smoking, irritating skincare products – all the usual suspects, basically.
But at least you can see that damage and act on it pronto. Most of inflammaging is so bad because it’s sneaky. It occurs on a cellular level, so you never see it happening. And did I mention, it’s chronic, too?
But, most importantly, how do you fight it? Several ways:
- Wear sunscreen every day
- Eat a healthy and balanced diet (sugar is allowed – in moderation!)
- Don’t smoke
- Use skincare products with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients, like Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir.
What’s In Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir?
NATURAL OILS
Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir uses a blend of natural oils (a whooping 14!), all of which have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Let’s just mention those that make up the bulk of the formula, or we’ll be here till tomorrow, shall we?
- Tea seed oil: One of my favourite oils, it’s a rich source of fatty acids. It moisturises skin, fights free radicals, and soothes irritations and sun damage.
- Chia seed oil: It’s a source of antioxidants, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids, which have powerful moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties.Â
- Bitter cheery seed oil: It contains lots of moisturising fatty acids that make skin super soft, and vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that busts free radicals, too.
- Strawberry seed oil: Another oil rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, it helps prevent premature wrinkles and soothe inflammation.

FRAGRANCE
Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir contains a few fragrant oils, like lavender and geranium. They make the oil smell amazing, but may irritate sensitive skin.
Personally, I’m on my second bottle of this oil and I’ve never had any problem with it. If your skin can tolerate fragrance, you’ll be fine.
But if you know your skin reacts badly to anything fragranced, or one of these oils in particular (always check the ingredient list), don’t risk it.

Texture
Its oily texture is rich but lightweight, and it sinks into the skin pretty quickly. If you hate oils that leave a greasy feel on your skin, you’ll love this one. Of course, it feels a bit greasy at first (it’s an oil, after all!), but that feeling is gone within a couple of minutes – on my dry cheeks even sooner!
Fragrance
Herbal, floral scent. Not too strong.
How To Use It
Morning and/or night. In the AM, apply it before sunscreen. At night, it’s the last step of your skincare routine.
Performance & Personal Opinion
As much as I love facial oils, I’m always worried they won’t agree with my combination skin and will make me breakout.
This time, I shouldn’t have. I use two to three drops on my dry cheeks and just the one on my oily t-zone at night, and so far it hasn’t caused even the slightest pimple.
Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir leaves my skin velvety soft. I kid you not. I don’t remember the last time my skin was this soft.
Of course, it also helps to soothe skin and prevent aging, but those results can’t be seen in a few weeks. Still, the science’s solid. Omega-3 and antioxidants are proven to help fight inflammation.
I’ll be using this a lot in the upcoming months. As a beauty blogger, after I review one product, I jump to the next shiny thing. But this is a bottle I’ll empty. 🙂

Acts as the perfect primer pre-makeup application. |
It does make a good base for makeup. |

I am a real admirer of natural skin care and hair care products. One of the many reasons I like natural or organic products is that they are not merely make over but do something really good to us.
Jayla, when they work, they work really well, don;t they?
