Nausheen, 1% retinol is the most powerful. But you need to start with a lower concentration and work your way up or you risk irritating your skin.

I spent my entire childhood sunburnt on the beaches of sunny California. I spend loads of time outdoors, and didn’t start wearing sunscreen until I noticed sun damage in my 30s (too late!)

I avoided sunscreen for so long because I thought it would be thick and greasy. But there are so many products out there that are light and fast-absorbing. It’s just trying a few to find one that suits you.

which retinol from the ordinary has a higher retinol potency? 1% retinol in squalane or the granactive retinol 2% emulsion? Also which one compares to the paulas choice 1% that you recommend above?

Thanks in advance
