Is it just another case of over-promising and under-delivering or can it really do all 3? Let’s find out:
What’s In Caudalie Vine[Activ] 3-in-1 Moisturiser?
RESVERATROL TO FIGHT OFF WRINKLES
What makes red wine so good? Resveratrol. It’s a powerful antioxidant found in the skin and seeds of grapes, berries and peanuts.
It does some wonderful things for the skin:
- It fights the free radicals that cause fine lines and wrinkles
- It soothes skin, fighting off inflammaging and irritations
- It helps prevent UVB-induced damage
Pretty awesome, right? But…
Yes, there’s a but. Of course. Caudalie claims it’s the best, most powerful antioxidant of all, but that’s nonsense. There isn’t an antioxidant better than another. Your skin needs lots of them. It’s like veggies, you know. The more the better. Even kale wouldn’t do that much alone.
P.S. You won’t find resveratrol on the label. It’s in palmitoyl grape seed extract.

VITAMINS C + E TO PREVENT PREMATURE AGING
Two more powerful antioxidants that fight unwanted free radicals. Vitamin C goes a step further:
- It boosts collagen production, keeping your skin firm
- It brightens skin and gives the complexion a radiant glow
But it’s when you use them together that they really shine. C + E boost each other’s effectiveness (it means they can get rid of even more free radicals) and the photoprotection of your sunscreen.
Mind you, I didn’t say they are a substitute for your sunscreen. I said they boost the protection your sunscreen gives you. There’s a difference.
Layers this combo under your sunscreen and you’ll be better protected from sun damage. Skip the sunscreen and those wrinkles will still get you fast.
P.S. Caudalie uses ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, a fat-soluble form of vitamin C that can penetrate the skin better than pure vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid).

HYALURONIC ACID TO HYDRATE SKIN
This moisturiser contains Sodium Hyaluronate, a form of Hyaluronic Acid that better penetrates your skin.
Its job? It’s a moisture magnet that draws water from the environment and binds it into your skin. It’s so powerful, it can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water!
Extra moisture = plumper and brighter skin.
P.S. Sodium Hyaluronate isn’t the only moisture magnet here. Glycerin does the same thing, but on a smaller scale.

I don’t know how Caudalie does it but all their moisturizers are super lightweight yet super moisturizing.This one is no exception. It goes on so smoothly, absorbs immediately and leaves no residue behind.
Fragrance
Fresh and citrusy.
How To Use It
In the AM, in between serum and sunscreen. At night, it’s the last step of your skincare routine.
Performance & Personal Opinion
Caudalie Vine[Activ] 3-in-1 Moisturiser has a lovely texture. It goes on smoothly, sinks in immediately, and leaves no greasy residue behind.
Plus, it makes the perfect base for makeup. My foundation goes on smoother and doesn’t ball up or anything like that. If you’ve been struggling to find a day moisturizer that lends itself to layering well, give this one a go.
But is it moisturising enough for all skin types, including dry skin? Mmm…
I put on in the morning and it keeps my skin soft, glowing, and hydrated all day long. ButI haven’t tried it in the depths of winter. My guess is that I’ll need something richer then.
This works wonders for combination or oily skin, but drier skin types may be left thirsting for more hydration.
