review simple kind to skin purifying cleansing lotion

When it comes to shampoos and body washes, it’s all about the lather for me. Thick and foamy, it feels like it is really working, taking away all the grime that has somehow managed to accumulate on my body in just a day or two. Such a satisfying feeling!

So, you’d think that I’d be just as in love with foaming face cleansers. Wrong. Maybe it’s because the first cleanser I ever used was a cleansing milk, but it’s towards foam-free lotions that I turn to to keep my face clean. Somehow they feel kinder to the skin.

Simple Kind To Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion fits the bill to a T. Does it deliver?

What’s In Simple Kind To Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion?

HYDROGENATED PALM KERNEL OIL

Ever heard of the “like attracts like” principle? It works like this: the oils in your cleanser attach to the oils on your skin and in your makeup, melting them away.

I love oil-based cleansers because they remove makeup effortlessly. Plus, they’re gentler on the skin and moisturise it to boot.

ISOPROPYL PALMITATE

I usually avoid products with Isopropyl Palmitate like the plague.

It’s an emollient that keeps skin softer and smoother during the cleansing process. But every time I use a cream with it, it’s pimple galore. This stuff is so comedogenic.

Thankfully, in a cleanser it doesn’t stay on the skin enough to cause any real harm. I didn’t get a single pimple since I’ve started using this cleanser. Phew!

SOOTHING INGREDIENTS

It doesn’t matter how gentle a cleanser is, the cleansing process has always the potential to be traumatic for skin. Soothing agents like allantoin and bisabolol calm down skin, reducing irritations, dryness, and redness.

Just what sensitive skin needs.

Performance & Personal Opinion

Simple Kind To Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion is kind to skin, no doubt about that. The thick lotion spreads easily on my skin, quickly removing all traces of makeup and other impurities.

On days I wear a full face of makeup (which is not often in this heat), I need two cotton balls to take everything off. Not bad.

Afterwards, my skin feels really soft and clean. And a bit oily. That’s the price to pay for using cleansers with oils. You can double cleanse with a foaming cleanser or, if the oil residue doesn’t bother you, leave it on. It’ll moisturise your skin.

That’s good for dry or combination skin, like mine. But, if yours is oily and prone to breakouts, this cleanser could make things worse.
